Tangalla

Tangalla, 89 km from Hikkaduwa, is a fishing village with fabulous beaches and bays, ideal for swimming.

During monsoon time it is worth visiting the nearby "Geyser" of Hummana. This is not a real geyser but a cave in the rock just at sea level with a vertical funnel-like opening.
If the wind comes in from the right direction it presses the water up through the cave and the funnel, which results in a 30 m-high water fountain.

Considering the distance, you are well advised to hire a taxi.
